A Collection of Me from Photobooth

Ever since I got my iMac, I've been striving to take a picture a day for a year. I'm only about three months in, but already I've built up quite a collection. Enjoy!

Here are some pictures I've taken of my dog recently:

I did some post processing work on these photos but it seems to have vanished. Damn iphoto! I'm not sure where the photos are stored, but they must be on my computer somewhere. Sorry about that!

Legally Blonde

Bye bye brown hair!

I thought this photo was fabulous. It was a risk to say the least, who takes a camera into the hair salon? I just wish I'd edited my teeth before uploading this to the internet. Ugh!

Winter at Night

This photowalk really gave me the confidence to play with my settings in the future and venture out when the lighting conditions don't seem so good. Everything was quite dark but as you can see, there is still alot of colour present. For this I am thankful :)

Playing with Fairylights ♥

I posted this because I've been having trouble taking a self-portrait with fairy lights. On flickr there are thousands of incredible pictures where people have wrapped themselves in lights, or a pet and posted it online, but I'm not sure how they have achieved that effect. What happened when I tried to do it is I ended up being all washed out or invisible, while the lights are barely noticeable. This is definitely something I'll have to keep practicing, but yay I learnt about different shutter speeds.

It is important to set up your camera on a tripod so there is no camera shake when you take these pictures because the time it takes to get the picture you want can get up to thirty seconds if you use the same method I implemented. I had the camera set to manual and obviously set the camera to different f-stops and exposure times as listed below. You can either set the time for two seconds so you dont cause the camera when you press the shutter button or use a remote control like I did. Have fun :)

My experimentation (fairly successful, but when I tried to insert myself, it went horribly wrong)

(I did not take these, they are the property of individual owners on flickr. If you click on each photo you will be refered to the original photo page where you can leave comments and feedback. Please do not take any of these pictures without linking back, or asking permission to use these pictures, otherwise we could both get in trouble! eEpecially if you intend of selling them or using them commercially!)
